#1 Artist Choice Maverick resin. This is the Maverick resin customized as a whinnying mustang stallion for the 2004 NAN auction. His color and pattern is black sabino-tobiano, which has roaned out the black markings and given them soft edges. He features acrylic paints, pastels, and colored pencils throughout. His feathers, mane, and tail have "dirty" shading to them, and his hooves are shaded with pastels to enhance the chips and dirt. His body color is an off-white.
His pattern is unique but based on a real horse's sabino-tobiano pattern. He has one dark ear with roaning and one white ear. This is the first Maverick I painted and I had a great time working on him. For a little guy, he's extremely detailed.
I took another photo of him on a light background so you could see a little more detail.
"I was lucky enough to see this guy in person and he is awesome!!! The pictures give you an idea of what he looks like, but he IS best appreciated in
person." -- Victoria Zanutto |
