Each model will be signed and numbered. The model shown here is the prototype.

Amber champagne (bay + champagne) is a rarer color in the horse world, but it can be found in Saddlebreds, Missouri Foxtrotters, Tennessee Walkers, Quarter Horses, Paint Horses, and Appaloosas, among others. This particular model's color is based on Kristin's grandmother's Foxtrotter mare, Sunny. Champagne is a modifier gene that, like the cream or dun genes, affects a horse's base coat color. When applied to bay, champagne often lightens the horse's body color to blonde, turns the legs, mane and tail a chocolate color, makes the skin a purplish pink, and lightens the eyes to an amber, hazel, or blue color. Champagne-colored horses often have a characteristic metallic hue to their body color, even when in full winter coat. For more information about the colors of champagne, visit the International Champagne Horse Registry (ICHR).

This lovely model features pink skin (even inside his ears!); light hazel eyes; chocolate brown mane, tail, and legs; brown tips on his ears; and sabino white markings. He definitely stands out in a crowd of Stone Arabians because, as far as I can find, there have been no Stone Arabs with pink skin (other than under white markings). There are documented "real" part-Arabians with the champagne gene (see the ICHR website for their photos) that are part-Quarter Horse or part-Saddlebred.
